Join us in celebrating the life of Ken Bruce ..

and making sure we never forget!!

 A Petition to Honor Ken Bruce by naming the new elementary school in Campbell County after him has begun.  Mr. Bruce was killed on November 8, 2005 when a school shooting occurred at Campbell County High School in Jacksboro, TN.

This picture was taken at a CCHS vs Heritage game .. August 2005. Mr. Bruce was a great supporter of our football team and the players loved him!!

Please give a minute of your time to sign it and then let everyone you know to please do the same.  We need this as soon as possible so that we can present it to the Campbell Co. School Board at their next monthly meeting.

A Memorial Is Being Planned for Nov 8

There will be a memorial at the stadium at Campbell County High School on November 8 to honor and give remembrance to our dear Ken Bruce.

Details are still not completely confirmed but we're looking at groups that will be singing, balloons released by students, memorial book and some speakers. The tentative time is at 6pm but may change. Any suggestions or ideas please message us and you're ideas will be given to our committee. This is for the healing of not only the community but especially the students of CCHS.

Flyers with information to give the community facts to help the school board to decide to name the new elementary school for Mr. Bruce as well as announcement of the details of the Nov 8 memorial will be handed out at Wal-mart on this Saturday, October 28th from 9am to 5pm.

Also: Our TN Representative William Baird is trying to have a proclamation passed for November 8 to always be a day of remembrance. Email him at  rep.william.baird@legislature.state.tn.us ..tell him you are a member of the Campbell County community and you'd like him to make sure a proclamation for November 8 for Campbell County is made.
